QUESTIONS BEFORE WE BEGIN

Good questions.
Clear next steps.

Crestwell FAQ: answers for attorneys and small firms about the work we support, how projects begin, and what stays with your firm. Every project starts with your firm’s needs and an agreed scope.

WORKING TOGETHER

Built around
your practice.

We support attorneys and small firms behind the scenes, with the retaining attorney directing legal work.

Who does Crestwell work with?

Crestwell works with attorneys and law firms. We do not represent individuals or accept direct legal matters from the public.

What kinds of work can Crestwell support?

Our three areas are federal research and drafting support, firm operations and workflows, and website and content work. A project may involve one area or an agreed combination.

Can we start with a single project?

Yes. A defined assignment is a practical place to start. If you later need continuing support, we can discuss a separate scope that fits your practice.

Who reviews and approves legal work?

The retaining attorney sets the direction, supervises the work, and reviews and approves any legal material before it is used. Legal judgment and client representation stay with your firm.

GETTING STARTED

Start with
the overview.

A short description helps us understand the work without asking you to send sensitive information through the public form.

What should I include in my first inquiry?

Tell us the general type of support your firm needs, the approximate timeline, and whether you have a single project or a recurring need. Please leave out client names, case numbers, privileged information, and sensitive documents.

How are confidential materials shared?

Please do not send confidential or privileged materials through the website form. If a project moves forward, we can discuss an appropriate way to exchange the materials needed for the agreed work.

How are scope, timing, and fees decided?

After we learn what your firm needs, we discuss the deliverables, timing, responsibilities, and fees before work begins. The details depend on the assignment.

What happens after I submit an inquiry?

We review the overview and follow up if the project appears to fit. From there, we can discuss the work, your timeline, and possible next steps.
